About This Course

MD in Psychiatry is a 3-year postgraduate program training physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and addiction. India has a severe shortage of psychiatrists with only 9,000 for 1.4 billion people. The growing awareness of mental health and rising mental health burden create excellent career opportunities. Psychiatrists work in hospitals, mental health centers, private practice, and corporate wellness programs.
